The artists are part of a long term collaboration called The Art of Staring Out to Sea which involves sketching forays into the Dorset landscape and, more particularly, the Jurassic coastline and Isle of Purbeck.  These workshops are an extension of this project and will be rolled out along the coast at various locations across 2017 and 2018.  Dates and venues will appear on this page as soon as they become available.  To be one step ahead why not join our mailing list and be the first to know about upcoming and future workshops.

The Art of Staring out to Sea is an ongoing collaborative project by Dorset artists Jayne Soakell and Sarah Humby. The aim is to create a dialogue between participating artists about our creative process using the Dorset coastline as a starting point.  Where the land meets the sea; that is where we  'draw the line'.
